Pre-reading materials will be distributed prior to day one to ensure participants are adequately prepared, particularly since a draft award must be completed before day two.

In addition to the plenary session, each participant will receive personalized feedback from the instructor on their draft award.

William B McLaughlin BA, BAI, DipIntArbLaw, PEng(Ont), CEng FIEI, Chartered FCIPD, FCIArb Chartered Arbitrator, EMTPJ Mediator.

Bill McLaughlin is a consulting Civil & Geotechnical Engineer, Chartered Arbitrator and Accredited Mediator. He had his first arbitral appointment in 1978 and his first appointment as mediator in 1982. He continues to act as Expert, Expert Witness, Arbitrator and Mediator in a wide range of disputes both domestic and international.

Bill is a founder member of the Mediators Institute Ireland and many of his current mediation and conciliation appointments, and some of his arbitral appointments, are for non-construction disputes.

He lectures and tutors extensively on conflict management generally, especially on arbitration, mediation & conciliation, negotiation and auditing for conflict management.

He designs and gives training courses in dispute resolution methods and skills worldwide for national and international, governmental and professional bodies, universities, trade associations and individuals.
