UPDATE FROM THE CHAIR

March 16, 2020

Dear NAB Colleagues,

It is a privilege to serve as the new chair of the North America Branch. As you may know, David Huebner is taking on the important role of Americas region Trustee for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. David has been tireless in his efforts to launch an array of programs and member benefits that will serve the Branch for many years to come.

I had the opportunity to work directly on many of these initiatives and will work collaboratively with our officers, directors, chapter chairs, and volunteers to develop an array of interesting Branch programs, position the Branch as a thought leader, and continue our culture of inclusiveness for the benefit of all members.

Upcoming Events

Please mark your calendars for the Branch’s Tech ADR Summit & Annual Conference at Microsoft World Headquarters in Seattle on October 1, 2020. Additionally, our Young Members Group recently announced our First Annual Writing Competition, open to all young practitioners and law students in the Branch. Finally, please check our new website regularly to learn about Branch events, news and featured programs.

Get Involved

Your participation in Branch activities is essential to our success. Over the last year, Branch volunteers have been actively engaged in developing our new Tech Summit, Annual Writing Competition, social media platforms and establishing a webinar program. Such activities are a great way to connect with Branch members and engage in stimulating activities and thought leadership that can enhance your personal profile. There are many ways to get involved and we welcome new volunteers. Please review our committees and let us know your interests.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you as chair of the Branch. I wish you and your families good health during these difficult times.

Best Regards,
Sandra Jeskie, FCIarb
Chair, CIArb North America Branch
