Commercial Arbitration in Brazil

Save-the-dates: October 25 to 29, 2021

Overview of Program

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators North America Branch (NAB) and Brazilian Branch, in partnership with
the International Arbitration Institute of the University of Miami School of Law, enthusiastically extends its
Capacity Sharing Program in 2021. The CSP will bring world-class training in arbitration to three cities in Brazil
that historically have been less served by international conferences and training in the field. The Program is
being organized with robust support and coordination with Brazilian lawyers and institutions and is part of
an annual NAB cross-cultural ADR knowledge-sharing program focuses on legal principles, process, practice,
and procedure. A NAB led delegation will present on arbitration, engage in discussions with local
counterparts about arbitration practices and techniques in our respective cultures and other cross-border
ADR development topics. The CSP is designed to strengthen and expand the Branch’s commitments to
advancing legal education, multi-cultural professional literacy, and engagement with under-served
communities. The 2021 CSP will take place in Brazil on October 25 to 29, 2021, together with online access,
and will be coordinated and implemented in conjunction with select local ADR practitioners.
